Barley earned his MACH!!!!
Barley is a Golden Retriever who was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He has a ton of personality and attitude. He is very vocal and likes to talk, and sometimes talk back. He thrives on being the center of attention and will be more that happy to show you all of his toys if you come to visit. He may even try to climb on your lap!
Barley is very friendly and outgoing, he loves all people and all dogs. His happy go lucky attitude is pretty contagious.
When it comes to training this boy is all business. He loves every sport I have tried with him including agility, flyball, dockdogs and field work. While he can be a goof walking to and from the line, once he starts working he is in the zone. Even once at an agility trial having a dog run in the ring while he was on the startline did not phase him.
Our current focus with Barley is agility. In Sept 2009 Barley completed the requirements for the GRCA Agility Dog Hall of Fame
(ADHF)! Barley earned his MACH in April of 2010. We trial about one to two times a month in the San Diego area, and occasionally up in the Los Angeles area. Barley's
other agility accomplishments include two Open level High in Trials (HIT) and three Excellent level HITs. In April 2009 Barley went Excellent HIT at the Golden Retriever Club of America Western Regional in a field of about 30 other
Goldens! He also qualified for the 2010 AKC Agility National Championship
