Mira is 6 Months Old!!!

Well it's hard to believe how fast time has gone by! My little baby girl is now 6 months old. So here is an update: Her training is going well, she still maintains a wonderful default sit. We are taking a Foundation for Dog Sports class at the SD Humane Society. It's really nice, we working on looking at me to get things, restrained recalls: where the trainer hold the dogs and you call them with a toy from across the training area and they come flying over to you. They love this. Playing "crate games" where going in your crate is fun and rewarding. And hand touches, playing and how to play properly. Shaping and clicker training. Impulse control. Mira learned a lot of this at home, but the distracting environment and other dogs are perfect! I would reccomend this class to anyone looking to get into dog sports, puppy or not!

She still tries to eat EVERYTHING, I thought I was seeing a slow down on the vacuum behavior but then we went camping and there was just way to many tasty sticks and bugs to gobble up! I am still rooting on growing out of it! She continues to come to agility trials with Sammy and Barley. She is an angel in her ex-pen and enjoys watching the other dogs. She is very relaxed and at home in the trial environment, which is perfect.
