Field Training
IVRC (Inland Valley Retriever Club)
August 2, 2008

We went back out to Prado to do some field training with the kids. While there we met Danielle from Mordha Retrievers, who was training two of Mira's half brothers! Below are some pictures of her "boys".

Danielle was also nice enough to take some video of Mira training. Which I will be loading up here soon! She did great of her retrievers. She had never marked in cover before, so she found that part a little tricky. But she came flying back to me each time she got the bumper. She also got a chance to do some shallow water retrieves, she thought that was just great! I could tell she was feeling pretty good about her water skills!

This was also Sammy and Barley's first time marking in cover, at first they were not quite sure about the how to play the game. But once they grasped that they had to go searching for the bumper they seemed to take to it quickly. They also got a chance to do some singles where they watch the gunner retire. Once he was "gone" they are release to find and retrieve the bumper. They seemed to do this exercise pretty good. I was very proud of my boys!
